《全球环境展望 – 亚太区中文版》于2019广州·世界青少年环保交流大会上发布

Guangzhou, China | July, 2019 – Under the theme “Sustainable Consumption and Production”, 4th UN China Youth Environment Forum and 2019 Guangzhou World Youth Environmental Protection Conference took place from 14 to 17 July in Guangzhou, China. The forum was jointly organized by Department of Ecology and Environment of Guangdong Province, Foreign Economic Cooperation Office (FECO) of Ministry of Ecology and Environment (MEE), China Environmental Protection Foundation and UNEP China Office. The Chinese Language Edition of Global Environment Outlook for Youth Asia Pacific was launched on the Forum.

2019年广州·世界青少年环保交流大会暨第四届国际青少年环境论坛于7月14日至17日在中国广州举行。该论坛由此次大会由广东省生态环境厅、生态环境部对外合作与交流中心、中华环境保护基金会、联合国环境署驻华代表处联合主办，议题为“可持续消费与生产”，《全球环境展望 – 亚太区中文版》也于本次论坛上发布。

Nearly 200 youth representatives from many countries and regions including China, Russia, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Trinidad and Tobago participated the forum.

全世界多个国家和地区包括来自中国、俄罗斯、马来西亚、印度尼西亚、特立尼达多巴哥等的近200名青少年参会。

“The future always belongs to the next generation. Without their engagement and leadership, that future cannot be sustainable.” said Ms. Wang Qian, Programme Management Officer of UNEP China Office at the launch event, “We are committed to give young people the chance to engage with environmental topics in a substantive way, building their knowledge and spreading an understanding of environmental challenges that face us all.”

“未来永远属于下一代。没有他们的参与和领导力，未来就是不可持续的。”联合国环境署驻华代表处项目主管王茜女士在报告发布会上说，“我们致力于让年轻人有机会切实参与环境议题，提供相关环境知识，应对我们所有人都面临的环境挑战。”

Mr. Jia Feng, Director General of Center for Environmental Education and Communication (CEEC) of Ministry of Ecology and Environment (MEE) presented an overview of the history of International environmental protection with key data from UNEP flagship assessment Global Environment Outlook (GEO). He called for young people to take action and actively motivate their peers to get engaged.

生态环境部宣教中心主任贾峰先生以联合国环境署旗舰科学报告《全球环境展望（GEO）》中的关键数据为基础，对国际环境保护历程进行了概述。他呼吁年轻人采取行动，并积极鼓励身边的同龄人参与。

International authors of GEO report introduced the development and key findings of this important report to the young audience. “Whereas conventional scientific publications can be technical and difficult to understand, this report is designed to be more interesting and accessible to a wider, younger audience.” said Dr. Neo Mei Lin, lead author of GEO for Youth Asia Pacific, “It is meant to stimulate dialogue within the youth community on environmental themes and issues.”

《全球环境展望》报告的国际作者向现场的青少年代表介绍了这本重要报告的主要发现。“不同于技术性强、深奥难懂的传统科学出版物，这本报告面向更广大、更年轻的读者，内容更有趣、更易懂。”《全球环境展望 – 亚太区青年版》的新加坡领衔作者梁美琳女士向大家介绍，“这本报告目的在于激发年轻群体有关环境议题中的对话。”

During the 5-day intensive program aiming to empower the youth to lead ground-up environmental initiatives and championing their passion for the environment, the young delegates experienced road show of their research topic, pitching competition, field visits and interactive workshop.

在为期五天的论坛中，国际青少年代表们通过路演、实地考察、互动研讨会等多种方式深度参与并探讨环境话题，增强了青年人在环境领域的领导力。
